Our Story
A Kitchen Famous for Something Special
The recipes behind Hodge Chocolate Confections didn't start in a commercial kitchen — they started in a family home, passed down through generations of people who believed that a truly great meal, or a truly great piece of chocolate, is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give.
Our kitchen has long been famous among family, friends, and neighbors. Holiday gatherings fill fast. Neighbor kids show up around dinnertime on purpose. And the fudge — the fudge disappears before anyone can wrap it for gifts.
Each recipe has been made, adjusted, shared, critiqued, and perfected across years and family tables. What you order from us isn't a product developed in a lab or scaled in a factory. It's the result of generations of refinement, made with the same care it always has been — by hand, in small batches, in the kitchen where it all began.
We started sharing publicly in 2026 because people kept asking. The answer was always the same: yes, we'll make you some.
What We Make
Ingredients & What to Expect
Fudge
Our fudge is made with real butter, evaporated milk, granulated sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chips, marshmallow creme, and pure vanilla extract. Rocky Road adds chopped walnuts and mini marshmallows. Just Nuts is classic chocolate fudge with whole roasted walnuts throughout.
Contains: Dairy · Soy · Tree Nuts (walnuts) in Rocky Road & Just Nuts varieties
Chocolate Truffles
Our truffles begin with a ganache center: high-quality dark or semi-sweet chocolate blended with heavy cream and a touch of real butter. Each truffle is hand-rolled and finished in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or a chocolate shell depending on the batch.
Contains: Dairy · Soy
⚠ Allergen Notice
We use tree nuts (walnuts) in our Rocky Road and Just Nuts products. All of our products are made in the same home kitchen. While No Nuts and Chocolate Truffles do not contain nuts as an ingredient, they are prepared in a shared kitchen environment where nuts are present. Individuals with severe nut allergies should take this into consideration before ordering.
Handmade with Intention
Every Batch is Unique
Because we use traditional artisan techniques — no commercial stabilizers, no preservatives, no automated equipment — each batch carries its own character. The color of a truffle may be slightly lighter or darker depending on the chocolate. The texture of a piece of fudge can vary with humidity, temperature, and the exact blend of chocolate used that day.
This is not a flaw. It's the signature of handmade confections. What you receive will taste exceptional — and it will look like it was made by a person, not a machine. Because it was.
